What is a process?
A process is a piece of computer program, adding up one or more threads, that is being sequentially executed by a computer system that may run few more computer programs compatibly.
Every program is a files compound. When you launch the program you start an executable file that runs the entire program or just any other of its components.
An executable file, when it’s launched, loads a part of its code at the computer’s memory. That code is a process. Hence, the running program is represented by its fundamental process.
Computer parasites also have processes. Though, unlike ordinary software, their processes run without user knowledge. You can not terminate the parasite just closing application’s window. It’s not a solution. Therefore, you have to know how to kill malicious processes.
Malware and malicious processes
Malware, short for malicious software, is software created to infiltrate a computer system without the owner’s acceptance. The term means a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, annoying software or program code. Malware includes computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, most rootkits, spyware, dishonest adware, crimeware and other malicious and unwanted software. It contains harmful bugs.
If malwares run on computer, they are like some kind of processes too. Security tools can cope with computer parasites, but if malware is on the run, the erasing won’t be successful.
Malicious programs threaten both your privacy and security of your computer. Consequently, you have to terminate malicious processes in advance of deleting malwares.
Steps of killing the malicious processes
Step 1: back-up plan
Terminating system processes isn’t difficult, but it may have few risks. If you make a bad break by choosing the wrong process and killing it, your computer may crash or you may loose important data.
Malicious processes have such a feature like being named similar or even the same as regular processes which are vital for Windows Operating System. That is why you need to back up important files and create System Restore Point, before terminating the process. Run anti-spyware and anti-virus scans proceeding to use manual removal. It’s not as risky as to erase malware manually.
Step 2: killing processes by using Windows Task Manager
Use CTRL+ALT+DEL keyboard’s combination for opening Windows Task Manager. You also capable open it by clicking: Start>>Run>> typing “taskmgr” >>Ok

Step 3: locate and terminate the malicious processes
Within the Windows Task Manager click on the Processes as it is shown at the Image 2. There you’ll see all the active tasks. Find the process you need to terminate. You can do it by clicking on the Image Name that will sort tasks in alphabetical order. Next you have to select the required process and click End Process. Now your malicious process is terminated.
