“Resident Shield: New virus detected” is a rogue pop-up that promotes Antivirus 7 malware. If you click on the message, you will most likely be redirected to Antivirus 7’s corrupt website. It reads:
Warning new virus detected!
Description. This backdoor arrives as attachment to email messages spammed by another malware or malicious user. This is a backdoor component of Darkmoon Rat (Remote Administration Tool), via this backdoor hackers attempt to control your PC.
Recommended. Please click „Remove All“ button to heal all infected files and protect your PC.
This is not a real infection jeopardizing your computer. Rogue security tool will as well hijack your web browser and run fabricated scans. It may also assist other parasites in entering your computer. You have to terminate this malicious program upon detection. Use effective removal tool and terminate Antivirus 7 parasite too.
